Making a Difference

Can I say today in honesty
As the hours slip by so fast
That I’ve helped a single person
Of the many I have passed?

Did I waste the day or lose it
Was it well or properly spent
Did I leave a trail of kindness
Or moments of content?
 

As I close my eyes to slumber
I hope that God will say
“You have made the world a better place
By the way you lived today.”
