This pasta recipe is good for one person.
Ingredients:
Spaghetti (See tips below to see how to measure pasta good for one serving)
Sardines (1/2 of 155g-can)
Cooking oil to saute (about 1 tbsp)
Garlic (quantity according to preference)
Ground black pepper to taste
Onions for garnishing
Procedure:
1. Cook pasta according to package instructions, then set aside after draining.
(for a simpler dish, you may skip steps 2 to 4)
2. Saute garlic in cooking oil.
3. Pour sardines into pan.
4. Simmer.
5. Pour sardines on top of cooked pasta.
6. Put onion rings on top for garnishing.
7. Toasts are optional.
1. I prefer to use Del Monte Spaghetti because, as it says in the packaging, it stays firm even if you cook it longer than you should.
3. The holes in the pasta ladle are used to measure the quantity of spaghetti. The smaller hole is used for spaghetti for one serving. The bigger hole for two. You can increase or decrease the quantity of pasta after measuring according to your consumption.
4. To store the unused portion of fruits or vegetables, put them inside plastic bags and seal them. This unused portion of onion can last up to 2 or 3 weeks inside the refrigerator, compared to one that is not sealed, 2 to 3 days.
Note: This is my first try at blogging what I cook, so comments and suggestion are welcome. I cook for one, since I am living alone. I find cooking a meal for one harder than cooking a meal for a family. I will blog about it in another post. In the meantime, why don't you try this recipe? If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comment section.
